How to point my web domain to Waitry's IP?

If you have your own domain and you want to use it on your website created in Waitry, we can provide you with our IP number so you can perform this configuration from your domain administrator.
Contact our support team and we will provide you with our static IP number for this configuration.

You can point your main domain or a subdomain, editing the DNS in the platform where you have delegated your domain. For example, you can point the subdomain "", or the subdomain "", or the whole domain "", or all of them, according to your preference. Generally, this is done in the dns zones edition in the platform where it has been delegated.

We will explain briefly how to point your domain or subdomain to an IP.

To do this you must create or edit a record of type A, which are the DNS records that allow you to point a domain or subdomain to a specific server through its IP address.

You will have to select the configuration ⚙️ of the site where you will point your domain > DNS or DNS Management (Depending on the site where you configure your domain it will look like this).
Select Add to add a new record or Edit if you already have a record.
Select A from the Type menu options.
Enter the details for your new A record:
Name: The subdomain name for record A. Type @ to place record A on your root domain, or enter a subdomain prefix such as "www", or "web" or nothing if you are going to point the entire domain.
Value: The IP address supplied by Waitry.
TTL: How long the server should cache the information. The default setting is 1 hour (This setting is optional).
Click Save.

Most DNS updates take effect within one hour, but global updates can take up to 48 hours.

Once the domain is pointed, you must inform our support team of the domain or subdomain set up for us to enable it on our server.

That's it!

If you don't have a domain name for your business yet, we can register one for you. Contact a Waitry sales person to request one.
