First steps in take-away and delivery orders
First steps in take-away and delivery orders
Based on customer´s experience , below we provide the recommended and most commonly used configurations for the Delivery and Take Away services.
- Order Times If you are going to take Delivery/Take Away orders during a restricted schedule, I recommend keeping the option for the user to select the delivery time activated.
This way, customers can order outside of the location's operating hours but schedule the pickup/delivery only for the hours the location is in service. This will allow you to expand sales hours without losing orders and keep deliveries organized during service hours.
This option is in the plan editor, on the right side:

- Always Show the Menu Another option that is convenient to activate in Delivery and Take Away, along with the previous one, is "Always show the menu even if the location is closed"
This way, customers can enter before the opening or service hours and schedule the order.
This option is in the plan editor, under the AVAILABILITY tab:

- Hide Visits In the order view, all customer orders are shown, but so are those that are in progress. If you do not want to see the orders from customers who logged in but did not place an order, you can hide them with the "Only requested" option. This way, only the orders confirmed by the customer will be displayed.
This option is in the side menu of the order view:

- Service Delay
You can also set the service delay for each plan. For example, 30 minutes. This way, when a customer places an order, that delay will be taken into account in the possible times for delivery/pickup of the order.
For example, if the customer logs in at 8:00 PM and you have a 30-minute delay, the first delivery time they will be able to choose is 8:30 PM.
This option is in the side menu of the order view:

- Digitalization of Kitchen Orders for the Kitchen
While everyone has the Orders view, which organizes orders according to the programmed time, if you have a paid plan, you also have the KDS view to see the orders as kitchen tickets. This is very useful if you want to digitalize the kitchen and move away from paper printers
.
Here you can manage all orders in detail, advance them, and organize the kitchen with the delivery sector.
