💳 What is the Interchange++ Model?

In Waitry, we strive to offer you a payment solution that is transparent, efficient, and tailored to your business needs. That's why we use a widely adopted pricing model in Europe and the United States: Interchange++.

🧾 How does Interchange++ work?

The Interchange++ model breaks down the cost of each card transaction into three components:

  • Interchange Fee (Interchange)

This is the commission received by your customer's card-issuing bank. For example: if a customer pays with a Visa card issued by a Spanish bank, that bank charges a small fee for facilitating the payment.

  • Scheme Fee (Scheme fee)

This is the fee charged by the card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) for processing the transaction.

  • Acquirer Service Fee (Acquirer fee)

This is the commission charged by the payment gateway for securely and efficiently facilitating the collection of funds through the platform.

With Interchange++, each transaction reflects exactly what each part of the process costs, giving you maximum visibility into the associated fees.

🌍 Why do we use Interchange++?

  • ✅ Transparency: You clearly see how the costs of each transaction are composed.
  • ✅ Cost Optimization: It allows you to make informed decisions about promotions, payment channels, or locations.
  • ✅ International Adaptability: This model is widely used in Spain, Europe, and the United States, aligning it with the highest market standards.

📊 What benefits does this have for your business?

  • Clearer and more predictable payments
  • Better control over your margins per sales channel
  • Confidence in a fair and internationally audited structure

📁 Where can I check these costs?

In your Waitry Payments panel, you have access to the details of all your transactions, including the breakdown of fees per operation. You can also download monthly reports or reports for a specific period.
